Dear Professor,
The process of writing my compare and contrast essay involving two previous immigrant authors, Suki Kim and Anzia Yezierska, was, to say the least, very challenging. As young women from completely different backgrounds, the authors lived through a multitude of unique, but harrowing, experiences as poor working immigrants in New York. Writing this paper involved a decent amount of research on how to structure and present each author’s experiences, and how to best compare and contrast those events in their lives. This approach would give (my) readers the appropriate background on these authors and how it relates to my thesis of how immigrants experience harsh problems with assimilation and economic survival.
